Fabrizio Trotta

Fabrizio Trotta was born in 1973 in Paola, where he currently lives and works after gaining extensive artistic and musical experience in Milan. From a young age, his sensitivity and emotional depth stood out, alongside his passion for communication and open, sincere dialogue, which inevitably led him to develop a keen interest in art in its various forms of expression.

His unconscious and natural attraction to life and its colors drove him to explore the fascinating world of painting, particularly contemporary painting in terms of subject, project, and execution. This varied exploration ignited his creativity, leading him to embrace different styles and techniques. Throughout his journey, he felt a strong and irresistible need to merge the spiritual and conceptual aspects with the tangible and rough side, which led him to create textured surfaces for his works.

Following his parents’ wishes, he moved to Milan to pursue university studies, earning a degree in Computer Science while never abandoning his passions and dreams. To establish a more direct connection with the wonderful world of music, he graduated as a “Sound Engineer” and fervently pursued a career as a composer, arranger, and music producer. This provided him with the right preparation to interpret those sound vibrations, which he then transformed into visual vibrations in his artworks. He achieved success with productions published by record companies such as Emi and Bmg.

In his quest to honor his other great passion, he blends musical rhythms with matter, turning them into sound and harmony through colors. He incorporates instruments, musical scores, and vinyl records into his works, embedding them in a precise deconstruction of planes, creating a narrative filled with emotions driven by his overwhelming desire to express them.

With a clear understanding of the challenging journey ahead, he now, after receiving numerous accolades, with his works included in collections both in Italy and several European countries, begins the narrative of his hopes and certainties. These stories are ever-changing yet uniquely sober, recognizing in the spiritual masters of the distant and recent past the instrumental impetus that allowed him to find his own path.

His works are featured in contemporary art volumes, annuals, and specialized magazines.
